Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center provides a
variety of camping opportunities for North Carolina youth,
ages 6-17. These programs allow campers to grow by challenging themselves,
in an environment where they feel safe and
accepted.
Residential Summer Camps
Six-Day
Residential Programs
for 8-14
Year-olds
Placed in coed activity groups
according to age, campers participate in horseback riding, canoeing, archery,
climbing, swimming, arts & crafts,
cookouts, campfires, nature exploration, teambuilding, high ropes,
and much more. Adventure programs offer older
youth opportunities
to gain compass, GPS and other outdoor
living skills, plus
participate in rock climbing, swiftwater canoeing and
more.
Environmental Day Camp
Daily
Onsite Sessions
for 6-14
Year-olds
Day Camp is an option for local youth to
experience the fun of camp activities Monday thru Friday, while
spending each evening and weekend at home. Each two-week
session has a theme, culminating with a corresponding field trip
. Activities include swimming, canoeing, horseback riding,
archery, arts & crafts, fishing, environmental studies, games
and more.

Cloverbud
Camps, Adventure Trips & Other Age-Specific Options
Designed for children who are interested
in a summer camp experience, but who may not be served by
traditional resident camp. For campers that are
especially young, there is the Cloverbud option. For
older campers who may have "graduated" from several summers of resident
camp, there are Adventure Trips and Leader-in-Training programs.
