Allowing campers to challenge themselves in a safe environment, Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center provides a variety of programs for North Carolina youth, ages 6-17. The Resident Camp, with coed groups, offers campers enjoyable daily activities such as swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, arts and crafts, and many other fun-filled activities! Through these activities, campers will grow and learn life skills while enjoying the friendships they make with other campers. Our Environmental Day Camp offers the same activities as our Resident Camp. Rotating from activity to activity, campers will enjoy them with our residential campers. Participating in team challenges, they will learn the importance of team work while creating strong friendships. They will also enjoy programs designed for day camp, such as creating an entrepreneurial community. Campers will have the opportunity to learn skills such as leadership and team-building that they will use for the rest of their lives. For our older campers, we have Specialty Camps. Here our Leaders-In-Training participate in leadership opportunities and spend time on the "behind-the-scenes" details. Along with leadership skills, campers will learn the value of responsibility. There are opportunities for campers of all ages to have fun and make the most out of summer!
