Can We Visit North Carolina Summer Camps Before Signing Up?
Yes, of course. We offer multiple open houses and tours each year. All tours are led by our summer camp staff. If our open house dates are not convenient for your schedule, please contact our office to set up a private tour with one of our camp staff any day of the week. We want to make sure our residential summer camp is the right fit for your child, and they are excited about the thought of attending.
Where Is Camp BJ Penn Located?
Camp BH Penn is located near Reidsville, NC in Rockingham County. However, each year we receive campers from the surrounding areas of South Carolina and Virginia as well. We are located on a beautiful property featuring a 22-acre lake and all types of wildlife scenery.
How Much Do North Carolina Summer Camps Cost?
The cost of North Carolina summer camps varies based on specific individual factors such as the type of camp and the number of sessions attending. We offer day camps as well as residential camps that include traditional, adventure, and trekker programs. Each of these programs has their own associated costs.
What If My Child Gets Homesick At Summer Camp?
It is perfectly normal for campers to begin missing home, especially if it is there first time being away. However, this can be an important part of their camp experience, as it may help develop a feeling of self-esteem and independence. Luckily, BH Penn is a safe place for campers to experience these emotions. Many of our counselors were once homesick campers themselves, so they are understanding and highly trained in working with your child.
