Sleepaway Camp Virginia

What Are The Accommodations At A Sleepaway Camp In Virginia?

At Camp BJ Penn our campers sleep in modern, two-story cabins. Our facilities feature multiple indoor showers and restroom facilities. Each cabin holds up to 26 campers with a minimum of three counselors per cabin to provide supervision at all times. Campers are required to bring their own sleeping bags or bed linens, as well as toiletries and clothes. We serve nutritious and balanced meals three times per day, with snacks and juice in the mid-morning and evenings.

What If My Child Gets Homesick At Sleepaway Camp?

It is normal for campers to begin missing home, especially if they have never been away before. However, this may help them to develop a feeling of self-esteem and independence, which is apart from their camp experience. Luckily, Camp BJ Penn is a safe place for campers to experience these emotions. Our counselors are highly trained and many understand the feeling as they were once homesick campers themselves.

Why Is Sleepaway Camp Important For Children?

Overnight camp can be a memorable experience for children of all ages. The experience will leave a lasting impression on your child so choosing the right camp is important. We understand that parents want to choose a sleepaway camp in Virginia that shares the same family values and offers a safe learning experience encouraging growth and friendship. Our number one priority is making sure our children have fun. Hopefully, Camp BJ Penn will become a “home away from home” for many summers to come.

Does A Sleepaway Camp Go On Field Trips?
