Maps and Mapping

Depending on the age of the group, students use an existing map to find their way to various points on Penn’s campus, or they create their own map, attempting to put various camp features in their proper geographical position. Students learn how to read maps, the basic characteristics of all maps, and how to work with the concepts of direction, topography, physical and human-made features and more.
