Predator and Prey Relationships

- Grades 3-6 -

Predator and Prey Relationships

This class uses a classic (and fun!) experiential learning game to teach students about predator/prey interactions and relationships in an ecosystem. Students take turns role-playing various animals at different levels of the food chain. Each student must find food, water, shelter, and other necessary resources to survive without first being eaten themselves. Students gain a first-hand understanding of how population dynamics, competition for resources, and carving out a niche work in an ecosystem.
