What’s going on at BJP?
Spring Programming

During the Spring and Fall, school groups come to BJP for field trips! Our staff have been facilitating team building challenges, belaying at our high ropes course, and teaching environmental education classes.

Open House

On May 6th we hosted a family fun day in which anyone could come to our camp for free and participate in climbing our rock wall, canoeing and/or fishing in our lake, and hiking around the trails to our beaver pond. We also had a cabin, our dining hall, and recreation hall open for touring. It was a great opportunity for people to get their eyes on our facility, meet our staff, and try out some fun activities!

What’s the most useful thing you’ve learned at BJP?

“My experiences at BJP have drastically improved my verbal communication. Before working here I always tried to avoid situations that involved public speaking, but now I feel comfortable talking in front of all types of audiences.” -Zoe
“The most useful thing I’ve learned at BJP is just how much use we can get out of the land around us. From foraging for Morels to finding uses for invasive species like Kudzu, BJP has taught me just how resourceful we can be with the things we take for granted.” -IV
“All the life-saving skills! I’ve had the opportunity to train on Wilderness First Aid, Lifeguarding, CPR, and all kinds of other skills that would help me save a life, if that ever became necessary.” -Zach
